Tara worked with my two doodles, Lucy & Max. They are both full of energy and love everyone. We had a problem of getting them to calm down when anyone walked in the door. Tara worked with us and after 1 session we gained the skills to manage their jumping. They no longer tackle anyone! She was like the dog whisperer. I hired Tara to work on several difficult and important behaviors for my 1.5 year old lab mix, Shiloh. My dog is mostly loving but has an intensity about her that leads to certain behavioral issues. Tara worked with me to create a unique and individualized plan to address key issues. Group training is a good start but having an individual coach brings the training to the next level. These issues included interacting with children; reducing dog reactivity behavior; and better leash walking manners. My dog saw remarkable improvements in all of these categories, and I learned how to properly intervene to change my dog's behavior. Tara was easy to work with. My dog always loved to see her and was eager to work. I can't recommend her training skills enough.

Tara has been so helpful! I have a very high energy dog and that made it hard to do training and I felt very out of control. Even after 1 session I could tell a difference. Not only did Tara work with Brutus and teach him basic manners along with how to focus and listen she also taught me how to be a good owner/trainer which is half the battle!! Since training began I feel in control of my dog, not the other way around and it’s all thanks to Tara’s calm effective training!

Neither my husband nor I had dogs growing up, although we begged our parents to have one. So, like most parents, who want to give their kids everything they didn't have, we decided to get a puppy. Well, more like 2 puppies.
We didn't know what we were in for. We had trouble potty training, manner issues and just lack of consistency. Two puppies at once! We tried the training classes at one of the big box stores, which worked well for the time being, but we weren't consistent. We finally heard about Tara.
She is really like Ceasar Milan! She not only taught us how to be consistent with our commands, but to combine our hand gestures with these commands as well. She also taught us to train each dog separately.
She is so patient as she watches our kids interact with the dog & will give kind, gentle reminders. The kids love having her around and we all enjoy the refresher. Each visit, we would build on another aspect of training. Tara is flexible to accommodate our needs and has a back-up plan as well, if we don't have a specific area to discuss.

Had it not been for Tara training our Boston Terrier Scooter to stop jumping and licking, and general bad behavior, we would no longer have him! He came to us at 14 months old and was so out of control. My husband and I were right on the verge of rehoming him. I heard about Tara's Pawsitive Dog Training through a coworker, who had similar problems as we did with her dog and were corrected by Tara. We had to give Scooter this chance, because we love him!
Tara is Truly the Dog whisperer ! She came into our home, and not only did she train Scooter, but our Boxer as well. She spent time with us as well to teach us how to keep up with the training.
Since then, it has been such a relief to have the Loving cuddly little dog we knew he was inside. As well as a calmer home environment. Knowing Tara came from a family of Dog trainers was a huge plus!
Tara, I can't thank you enough! You really saved our furbaby from being rehomed, which was something we did not really want to do!

When we hired Tara for our dog Blue. I honestly thought we were going to have to give her up. She's was jumping up, knocking over our toddlers, and all around poorly mannered. I have had many dogs in the past but we were at a lost when Tara came. Within a few session we began to see changes in her that have sustained much past her training. If we ever need help with our dogs again, Tara will be the first call we make!
